IMPORTANT Please check your threading applies to all machines
When threading up machine please ensure that the PRESSER FOOT is in the HIGHEST POSITION, lift the presser foot lever up, this will release the upper tension discs, enabling the thread to locate correctly around & to the centre of the tension discs. Thread up with your left hand holding the cotton reel with your right hand., pulling the thread into the upper tension discs.
Otherwise the thread will * mass in loops under the material and jam the machine.
· * This can cause the bobbin case to dislodge with damage caused by the
needle hitting the bobbin case, can also dislodge the hook timing (on top
load drop in bobbin type)
· * This can cause a cotton lock in the race and can dislodge the hook timing
and or feed timing, a cotton jam in the bobbin area can be cleared by
removing the shuttle race ring and shuttle hook (on front load bobbin case
models with common oscillatory hook)
· * This can cause a cotton lock in the race jamming the machine and can
dislodge the hook timing and or feed timing, with possible damage to the
hook cushion finger a cotton jam in the bobbin area can be difficult to clear
without removing the finger (on front load bobbin case models with
rotary hook)
